About the Program
The Ancient Studies Program, created in 1968, is shared among the faculty from five departments at the University of Missouri and the Director of the Museum of Art and Archaeology and the Museum of Anthrophony. A student pursuing a graduate degree in Ancient Mediterranean Studies, Anthropology, History, Philosophy, or Religious Studies may elect an Ancient Studies minor at either the M.A. or Ph.D. level. This minor provides an opportunity for students to diversify their curriculum and to perceive their field in a broader context than is possible within a departmental program.
